Crystal Palace beat Fulham at Craven Cottage to maintain their brilliant form on the road and four straight away wins in the Premier League for the first time.

Fulham defender Joachim Andersen's own goal put his former side ahead at half-time before Daniel Munoz's effort beat Bernd Leno at his near post in the second half to secure three points for Oliver Glasner's side.

Palace made their intentions clear from the get-go as Jean-Philippe Mateta found the side-netting for the visitors inside three minutes.

Goalkeeper Leno was then called into action twice by Eberechi Eze - first with a shot from distance 25 minutes in and again from a free-kick eight minutes later.

Pressure paid off for the visitors before the break as Will Hughes' corner towards Maxence Lacroix went in off the back of Andersen's head for a deserved lead.

Referee Robert Jones waved away Fulham's shouts for a penalty after Raul Jimenez went down under the challenge of Lacroix and seconds later Mateta had the ball in the back of the net at the opposite end, only for the goal to be chalked off for a very tight offside.

Leno produced a brilliant reflex save to deny Lacroix's header from a corner but the Fulham goalkeeper had no answer to Munoz's fierce strike that doubled the Eagles' advantage on 66 minutes.

Mateta skipped past two players on a Palace counter-attack before playing through Colombian wing-back Munoz, who beat Calvin Bassey inside the box before rifling into the roof of the net from a tight angle.

While Fulham missed the chance to push on for Europe and are ninth in the table with 39 points, Palace sit six points behind in 13th.

During the week in which he completed one year in charge of Palace, Glasner helped his side maintain their push for a top-half finish with a derby win, while also scripting a piece of history with a club record.

The Eagles added to their recent triumphs at Leicester City, West Ham and Manchester United to make it four away wins on the trot - and all with a 2-0 scoreline.

Palace have now won six and drawn four of their 13 away games this season but have only won twice at Selhurst Park.

Eze, reinstated into the starting line-up for the first time since the 2-1 defeat by Brentford last month, was their biggest threat in the first half.

Mateta, who scored in all three of their most recent away wins, remained influential and had a goal ruled out by VAR for offside, minutes before Munoz sealed the victory.

Glasner, who replaced Roy Hodgson last year, had a tough start to his first full season in charge of the Eagles - winning just one of their first 11 league games.

But results have improved considerably and the win against their London rivals sees the Austrian's side continue their push for back-to-back top-half finishes in the Premier League.

A win against Palace would have seen Fulham move one point behind sixth-placed Bournemouth, who were beaten 1-0 by Wolves.

Marco Silva's side had all the momentum heading into the contest, having posted impressive victories against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest this month.

But the Cottagers were nowhere near the levels they displayed in those matches and did not record a single shot on target in the game despite 10 attempts.

Adama Traore, who caused plenty of headache for the Forest defence last week, and Alex Iwobi barely had any success on the wings while an injury to Emile Smith Rowe added to the Portuguese manager's concerns.

With the team finishing fifth in the Premier League potentially earning a place in next season's Champions League, Silva and Fulham cannot afford performances like this if they want to achieve that goal.

They will hope to bounce back immediately against Wolves on Tuesday, while it is Aston Villa up next for Palace on the same day.
